Cultural Support
ATSI Team
“The Wardli” is a shared space that is open for parents to drop in for a yarn, a cuppa and meet with our Aboriginal Community Education Officer (ACEO) Tammy Karpany. Students also have access to the room during the school day if they need any support. Chris Luke, our Aboriginal Education Teacher (AET), also works in the room, supporting staff and First Nations students in all areas of the curriculum.
EALD Team
The English as an Additional Language or Dialect program at Parafield Gardens Primary School welcomes students and families from many different cultural backgrounds. Educators work with families by providing support during the enrolment process, booking interpreters for meaningful learning conversations and supporting strong connections between home and school. Students gain a sense of belonging through participation in the EALD program where they work in small groups to build their understanding of the English language.
